Agnes & Muriel's (named for the owner's mothers) serves "food you only wish your mom cooked" along with many Southern favorites like fried green tomatoes -- which were made famous by the book and movie of the same name.

Along with a selection of wine, beer, and sangria, they also pour sparkling Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Poinsettias at brunch. Don't try to steal the recipes from the kitchen--just buy "The Agnes & Muriel's Cafe Cookbook" and be sure not to skip out without trying a slice of the red velvet cake.
