Hoedowns Atlanta
* Hoedowns Is Now Closed.
"You can't keep a good ho' down!" is Hoedowns' motto--this is gay country at its finest.
Inside you'll find a huge main bar that's manned by hot (and usually shirtless) bartenders. If you don't know how to two-step, you'll learn fast when someone asks you to dance!
The bar patrons are loaded with Southern charm and are famously flirtatious. Don't be thrown for a loop when the crowd begins to line-dance to Madonna--just watch and try to pick up the rhythm. Who knows, you might get picked up too!
Since Hoedown's was featured in the "Designing Women" reunion special, you may even get to chime in with Julia Sugarbaker when the club's video screen plays her "Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" speech.
Insider Tip: If you yearn to dance like the boys on the dance floor, Hoedowns offers line-dancing classes. Tuesdays are for beginners and Wednesdays through Thursdays are for those who already know a little somethin'. Visit their Web site or call for more information.
