Located on Ponce De Leon Avenue, the Phoenix still holds a reputation from a time when the surrounding area was very seedy.
Like any neighborhood bar, the pool table and the bar stools are often occupied by regulars. Patrons generally show up in whatever they threw on in the morning, just to watch TV or catch up on the latest gossip. Busier times make this bar a good place to meet "Mr. Right Now," but perhaps not "Mr. Right."
