RuPaul dropped out of high school to focus on performing in drag at gay Atlanta hotspots like Weekends, Rumors, Margaritaville, 688 Club, and Celebrity Club late at night.

Had a cameo in the B-52's music video “Love Shack.”

Stars in Starbooty as himself along with Candis Cayne, Lady Bunny, and Michael Lucas.

His reality show, RuPaul's Drag Race, premiered on LOGO in 2009.
