Q: Are the drinks really free?
A: Yes, all Absolut drinks are free from 7-9.
Q: Will there be a long line?
A: Probably, which is why you should get your tickets online prior to the event.
Q: Can I buy my ticket at the door?
A: Yes.
Q: Blake's never has a cover - why should I pay $35?
A: Besides the fact that you're helping an important nonprofit, you also get 2 hours of free Absolut drinks on 3 different nights, plus a 1-year GLAAD Membership that's normally $40.
Q: So I can come to all 3 events for the $35?
A: Yes - this Friday, October 26 & November 30, plus you get 2 hours of Absolut cocktails at each event!
Q: Does ATLANTAboy.com get any of the $35?
A: No. All of the proceeds go to GLAAD.
Q: Is my purchase tax deductible?
A: Yes, as a charitable donation.
Q: What is GLAAD?
A: GLAAD is the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, the 3rd largest LGBT organization that fights for fair and inclusive representation in the media (see http://www.glaad.org).
Q: Didn't Perez just write something about GLAAD?
A: Yes, about gay characters disappearing from TV. GLAAD just completed its annual study on it here.
Q: What else do I get with my ticket?
A: The chance to win tickets to the GLAAD Media Awards in your choice of LA, NY, Miami or San Francisco!
P.S. All of your favorite gay-friendly celebs are already involved with GLAAD including Kathy Griffin, Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen DeGeneres and many more. Join them by getting your ticket to tonight's event which includes a 1-year Membership to GLAAD!

This Friday, WETbar presents Lisa Lisa in the next installment of their "I Love the 80's Night..."
Last month WETbar brought you New Kids on the Block's Jordan Knight. This month its Lisa Lisa, the International Pop Diva with hits like "All Cried Out," "Lost in Emotion," "Head to Toe" and many more.
Lisa Lisa (born Lisa Velez) and her band Cult Jam were one of the original American Latin freestyle groups of the 1980s. The group released their debut album, "Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam with Full Force" in 1985.
After several hit albums throughout the 80s, Lisa Lisa resurfaced in 2001 on the Nickelodeon series "Taina," where she played the lead character's mother. She is gearing up to release a new solo album next year.
Out's new "After Dark" issue (October) features "The 50 Greatest Gay Bars in the World," including two gay bars in Atlanta...
They chose Mary's and Hoedowns, calling Hoedowns "a 'Brokeback' fantasy come true. Only they should have said "was," since the bar closed last month. (We know -- details, details...) so here's what else they said:
Mary's
Theme nights range from outrageous to downright unsavory: Hanky Code Party, No Pants Dance, and MondoHomo, to name a few. Attention-whore hipsters compete with rowdy lesbians and off-duty DJs for space on the miniature dance floor. On karaoke night the pocket-size emcee channels Motown divas.
Hoedowns (now closed)
There's something about watching two Marlboro men two-stepping to "Cotton-Eye Joe" that does the soul good. Noting is ironic about this scene. Throw on your old Wranglers and cowboy boots, order a domestic beer, and leave your pretensions at the door.
Falcon star turned director Matthew Rush makes a live appearance at WETbar this Thursday for College Boys Gone Wild...
The last time Rush was in town, he was starring in the play "My Boyfriend the Stripper" at the 14th Street Playhouse. This time, however, he's dancing on stage in his underwear (or maybe less!). Falcon star Cort Donovan joins him.
WARNING: Rush is no dancer, but we're guessing he'll at least be better than Britney :) And as a bonus, he'll even give away tickets for the Kingdom Party at GayDays Disneyland in California!
Next Thursday, Randy Blue model Alex Eden appears.
